1. Who we are
TitheClub is a community service platform for teens operated by TitheClub, based in Dallas, Texas. Our website is titheclub.org. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@titheclub.org.
2. What information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the platform. For student accounts (ages 13–17): first name, school email address, school name, grade level, and volunteer hours logged. We collect a parent or guardian email address at signup and copy them on all account notifications. We do not collect home addresses, phone numbers, social security numbers, or payment information from students.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to operate your TitheClub account, verify and record your volunteer hours, notify your school counselor and parent of activity, match you to scholarships and internship opportunities, and generate your service résumé. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. Children's privacy — COPPA compliance
TitheClub is designed for teens ages 13–17. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and COPPA 2.0. Students ages 13–16 provide their own explicit consent at signup, and a parent or guardian is notified by email. Students under 13 may use TitheKids read-only mode only — no account is created and no personal data is collected. Parents may contact us at hello@titheclub.org at any time to review, update, or delete their child's information.
5. Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA)
TitheClub complies with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (effective July 1, 2024). As a Texas resident you have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, access a copy of your data, correct inaccuracies, delete your data, and opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@titheclub.org. We will respond within 45 days.
6. Data sharing
We share your data only with your registered school counselor (your volunteer hours and badge record) and your registered parent or guardian (all account notifications). We use Supabase for secure database storage and Resend for email delivery. We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.
7. Data security
All data is stored securely using Supabase's encrypted database infrastructure. Access to student records is restricted to the student, their registered parent, their school counselor, and TitheClub administrators. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
8. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Verified hour records may be retained in anonymised form for platform analytics.
9. Cookies
TitheClub uses only essential cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform grows. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
